From Friday, October 6th , to Sunday, October 8th , the Castello Sforzesco of Milan will host the tenth edition of the Wired Next Fest, the huge, free event dedicated to innovation and to digital technologies. The festival was organized by Wired Italia and generated with the collaboration of the Municipality of Milan, and is dedicated to Italy and to the story about how the country is building its future by focusing on its territories and its ability to connect with the world.
This will last three days full of exhibitions, live performances, and workshops during which a rich audience of Italian and international guests will confer about innovation as a growth and well-being tool for Italy. Scientists, economists, big enterprises, start-ups, artists and intellectuals will discuss how local cultures and politics will be able to influence the innovation processes and the birth of new trends.

As it does every year, the Wired Next Fest will offer several free activities, experiences and workshops; each of them will be distributed in the open court of the library of the Castello Sforzesco. On the external stage in the Piazza delle Armi, between 2:30 and 6:00 pm, there will be live music. There will also be some evening events, from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am, with a DJ set. In the Cyber Escape Room, groups made up of 4 people will be able to defy a group of hackers who will try to infiltrate the digital systems of the Nerd Corporation, an experience that should make users aware of the issue of digital security. Additionally, there will be an area of the court where virtual flying will take place, and it will be possible to discover the secrets of aviation and to pilot an airplane.
At the Wired Next Fest 2023, there will be room for playing, thus giving value to the concept of videogames as an occasion where individuals can interact. In the gaming area, which is built in collaboration with Gamers Arena, it will be possible to have some immersive-game experiences.
In the spaces of the Library of the Castle, between 10:30am and 7:30pm, Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th, it will be possible to attend several free workshops, provided one is registered on the website: in the “Accessible Data Visualisation” workshop, one will find out all about the main graphic models of data and information representation; in the workshop “Digital museums: new models of organization and tools to build immersive and shared experiences” the art lovers and the cultural operators will be able to explore how digital is transforming our relationship with our artistic richness; during the event “Sharenting: rebel sons against boomer parents” the themes of privacy and minors online will be discussed; satire, with “Humor without filters: stand-up comedy & politically correct” will be also discussed; literature and heights lovers will have the opportunity to take part to a creative writing workshop dedicated to mountain and guided by the writer Davide Longo.
