As soon as the Christmas season begins, cities are known to be festively decorated, with shopping streets covered in cascades of lights, squares with Christmas trees popping up here and there and shop windows seemingly coming to life. All this gives our cities and their streets a magical atmosphere.
In the streets of the centre of Milan there are hidden gems, where you can really immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas. Often the best surprises are inside boutiques, showrooms or department stores.
Among the various Christmas-themed stores in Milan, it is worth mentioning some of the best:
Starting right in the city centre, in Milan's fashion district, not to be missed is the temporary shop: 'La Casa di Nonna Luisa', in the store occupied until last year by Vincenzo Dascanio on Via della Spiga, one of the most elegant and prestigious streets in Milan. The shop is very chic, but still manages to maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

If your intention is also just to take a leisurely stroll, Ecliss is the perfect place.
Heading back towards the centre of Milan, at Corso Magenta 10, you will find 'Raw & Co', a boutique of vintage objects and furnishings that also offers many different options for Christmas home decoration during Christmas time. Between decorations, displays and set tables, one is greeted by a cosy and classy atmosphere.
Moving instead out of town to Cusago, around 16 km from the centre of Milan, at Viale Europa 11, 'Viridea' is the best choice. This is a large store dedicated to gardening, which from October opens an entire section dedicated to Christmas decorations, transforming itself into a Christmas village, perfect to visit even with children who will certainly be impressed.
Much more than simple stores, inside you have the possibility not only to buy decorations and illuminations, but also to live a real experience, fully perceiving the atmosphere of the Milanese festivities and breathing that warmth that characterises precisely the magic of Christmas.
